This year VAY Northern Cal and the ROCK join together to offer you an opportunity to make a difference. The condition of impoverish children in the world can be improved because of you. If you haven’t participated in the past, read the previous blogs on the topic of Famine to know what this is about.
Here’s the info for this year event:
- Date & time: From 1 pm Friday Mar 26 to 8 pm Saturday Mar 27, 2010.
- Place: at SJ2 new location, 555 Los Coches St., Milpitas, CA 95035.
- Fee: $15 per person.
- How to sign up: Download this consent form, have your parents fill out & sign, and turn it in to your local church leader. We only accept applications through your church leader!
- Deadline: Sunday March 21, 2010.

Please note that this is an event with a missional purpose – that is to raise awareness of and funding for impoverish children around the world. So please do your work of fund raising. Most of the work is supposed to be done “before” the event. We just gather that weekend to celebrate together. We suggest that each of you set a goal to raise at least $20 or $50 or $100 for the cause. This is only a suggestion, but we hope you take it seriously. IF YOU HAVE NO INTENTION OF MAKING THE EFFORT, PLEASE DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN THIS EVENT. There will be other fun events for you later this year. This is an event for the committed only. Thank you for your understanding!
Also, there is a policy regarding overnight event, that is to have at least 1 supervision adult for every 6 youth. The supervision adults need to be at least 24 years old. So if your church has 1-6 youth, you will need 1 adult. If you have 7-12, then you will need 2 adults. And so on. If you have an issue with finding adult volunteer let us know soon.
