I am preparing myself for the 30 hour famine…And It’s no joke. This will be my first time attending the famine. I just want to prepare my body as much as possible for this. I just wanted to share with everyone my experience today while I try to prepare.

So far today, I ate only one bowl of cereal instead of my usual one and a half. I would rather eat more cereal than drink the remaining of the milk. for lunch, I ate one banana. I grabbed the largest banana in our house, hoping that it would fill me up. Right now, It’s nearly 9 hours since I’ve had my hearty bowl of cereal this morning and my hands are shaking, I’m beginning to be a little delirious, I’m seeing things in the corner of my eyes and I’ve been partially sleeping at my desk for the last 2 hours. Everyone at work knows I’m preparing myself for the famine and they have been kind enough to not tempt me with their snacks. My stomach just made demonic sound, haha. Sounds kind of like Pastor Dave’s impersonation of his child. I think I’ve prayed more than 5 times today. The most was during lunch when I had nothing to do, except for to go to the gas station and pick up a vitamin water. Good thing I’ve tried to stay fairly busy to keep my mind off of this terrible hunger pain. It seems like I’m in way over my head, but you know what. I’m up for a challenge.

The good news is that I’ve already raised $73 from just the people at work. More of my co-workers are going to bring more money later on this week. I just know it. This whole famine experience is going to change my life for the better. Can’t wait to see you all there.
